Comedian Macaroni Speaks For The First Time After He Was Released From Lagos Police Station, See What He Said

Popular Nigerian Instagram Comedian, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni has issued some statement a day after he was released from police custody.

The Comedian and actor was apprehended by men of Nigerian police on Saturday morning when he arrived Lekki toll gate to join other Nigerians to participate in Occupylekkitollgate protest.

Him and other peaceful protesters were arrested and transported in a black Maria to the station.

He was arrested along side 29 other Nigerian youths who came to the toll gate to lend their voice against the unfair treatment given to victims of Lekki massacre. Aiming that if justice is not served, that there is no need to open the toll gate.

In a video that was shared online, Mr. Macaroni and others were subjected to harsh treat by the Nigerian police. They were dehumanised and according to Him, they even threatened to kill them.

Speaking about what went down on Saturday, he said that he sustained several degrees of injuries on his body and that he is heading to a close hospital to check his health state. He also confirmed that his two mobile phones were smashed by officers.

Further, he called out the Government of President Buhari for their inhuman action towards peaceful protesters.

" The government is responsible for protection. So, let me ask, you had over 200 policemen out there yesterday, and you want to tell me you could not guarantee a peaceful protest if there was going to be one? It shows that you guys are irresponsible, all of you are irresponsible. " He said.

The businessman also aired that the police would have soiled many arrested protesters if people weren' t aware of their arrest.

" They were saying it, they were telling us that ' we'll shoot you, nothing will happen. If it was night all of una for don die. ' "

In the same video, he debunked allegations leveled against him that he collected some funds from opposition politicians to speak against this present government. He further lambasted and cursed those flaming the lies.

He appreciated the legal practitioners and everyone who tried their best in making sure they were released from the custody.
